Leprechaun and 1cc

1cc models follow all AMA/PAMPA rules except for the limits on engine size. 1cc (.061 c.i.) for singles .102 c.i. for twins and multiple engine models (2 x .051 engines, for example). Line sizes per AMA rules. The fly the full pattern (next time we will be mixed in with the advanced flyers, we were too far ahead of the intermediates.

Leprechaun models are those flown in the 1cc event that are actual or replica or scale models of Old Time or Classic stunters. For example the Baby Clown has won the trophy for several years, but a 60% size Midwest Profile Mustang .35 won one year, and a scaled down Old Timer another. Models can be 1:1, scaled up, or scaled down. Currently available kits that qualify are the Brodak Baby Flite Streak and Baby Clown, RSM's Pinto, and some of BlackHawk Models replica hollow log models. There are lots of old models that both qualify and could be competitive. For example the Wee Duper Zilch was originally for a Cub .099, but a modern .061 should drive it beautifully.

The only exception to the AMA standards is that pit stops are allowed, and if needed, you get 1 extra minute.
