The Ex FilesWe are finally back from ‘down under’ and had an incredible vacation. One of the highlights was being taken to a contest near Sydney by Dave Simmons and given a Cardinal from Dennis Percival to fly. The engine was actually one built by Tom Muggleton from the good old USA. Diane has video of me flying to prove that I actually flew in Australia The next day Dave arranged for us to fly in a Piper Cherokee at 500 feet above Sydney. I even got a chance to fly the full scale Piper. Additionally, we went to the Opera, SCUBA dived in the Great Barrier Reef (with the great sharks), saw the real life march of the penguins, dug for opals, threw a boomerang, did a little dancing, saw the opening of the Commonwealth Games and almost had time to relax.. We are quite busy trying to catch up with mail (bills) and some home improvements and are not sure if we can participate in the Palmer Contest next month. I certainly am out of practice, not that that helps me. See you all at the field. . JOEL CHESLER

There you get the dirctly overhead view and can look at four others taken from the four pooints of the compass. |
