Warren Walker – Bob Whitely’s Hawker, a new kit from RSM. He has finished the main fuselage structure and wing. He plans on the Royal Navy deco scheme. Power will be a Randy Smith Tigre .60

????.

George Barlow:(???) Easy-bilt Catalina kit. 54” wingspan, it is intended to be a display model.

Antone Kephart: Antone Kephart – Neptune II proof model he is building to check out the new RSM kit. I-Beam wing. The kit is mostly laser cut except for the ribs, which are strip cut by the builder using a provided guide. He plans to power it with a Brodak 40, and thinks it will come out around 39 ounces. Antone also brought his almost finished Belfrey Bound to get Dale to Sign the wing before clear-coating. Currently it is powered by a LA 40, but he can drop in a 46 if needed. .

Frank Martin – A McCoy .098 that needs repair to the venturi and a new needle valve assembly.

Randy Heydon – Super sharp, fine pins from Jen’s Fabrics

John Wright: John Wright – He showed a Jr. Flite Streak he got for $1. It has a “3-bolt” Fox 19 on it. Jed Kusik has already “stress tested” the plane, and it survived. .012 x 60’ lines. John also showed a J-Roberts controlled Corsair. It will drop a tailhook when you hit full low throttle.

Christina Kusik – Brodak 1/2A trainer. She started it in June, and it flies just fine.

Jed Kusik – Titanium landing gear, both full fuselage and profile types available. $10 a set. His son makes them.

Kevin Kusik – An ARC Cardinal. Covered with Polyspan and doped. It is OS 40 LA powered and weighs 50 ounces. Very nice job too!

Bob Werle: Information on the “Wings Palette” website. It has walk-around photos of a lot of different aircraft.

Ray Ebert – Showed a Kenhi Cougar. .

Larry Renger: – Showed a Radar Gun for checking model speeds. Made by Bushnell, it was $85 from Amazon.com. It works just fine for tracking CL models. He also showed a plan sheet for Blackhawk’s new 1/2A stunt models. Finally a copy of an ancient how to build model airplanes book “The Model Aircraft Handbook” by William Winter.

Andy Borgogna – An OS FP 40 that Antone had reworked for him.

Old Business:

Warren is to obtain new signs to replace the ones that were recently installed and promptly stolen. The new ones will simply say “Radio Control Vehicles Prohibited”

There was a report on the contest Antone CD’ed at Sepulveda. It went well. Ray E was pit boss, and Larry R one of the judges.
