We discussed the rules for profile. It is recommended that we adopt the rules used by the Circle Burners. We also discussed the need for next year’s officers.

Show and Tell:

John Wright: Modified Jr. Nobler. It had the wingtips reversed and the horizontal tail revised. Medallion .15 for power. He thinks the bellcrank is only 2” size. John also had a trophy for 2nd in the Skyray Carrier event from the Hi Johnson meet.

Joel Chesler – Reported on his visit to the Palm Springs Air Museum. They have a box of model magazines for people to read and take. He also went to the Roosevelt Field Air Museum and had some interesting magazine articles.

Dale Kirn Super Hurricane model that cost $24.95 in the 1940s! It used a .24 c.i. Canadian engine that was the only one available during the war years. It is now in a Baby Shark in the Stanzel museum.old engine. .

Pete Soule – An International Engine Review book that is a compilation of Pete Chinn’s engine reports. Also a whip powered model article from a 1933 issue of Mechanics Illustrated.

Antone Kephart. – He had a kit of the P-40 Black Tiger from Berkeley. Also a C*x Free Flight model that has a camera in it that is operated by radio. Finally, he brought in the finished Neptune II, and the 2nd place trophy it won in Classic at the Hi Johnson meet. Lots of wind at the contest; the 2nd round was cancelled!

Bob Werle –WAG reproduction Clown he built from memory. It has a Super Tigre .15 on it. He also had an all balsa 1/2A model.

George Barlow - Mostly completed Speede-Bilt Panther jet. 3 hours to build from one of the replica kits, and 2 weeks of finishing, so far.

Dennis Coleman – Dumas version of the Veco P-51. He also had a Green Head Torp .35 to power it.

Old Business:

Warren Walker reported that Dave Sabon has some kits and funds to donate for the Mackey Meet. We will save them for next year when we have the full, two-day contest.

Antone called for judges for the Mackey Meet. Larry and John volunteered to help.

Warren has the new signs for the fence at the field. Joel will obtain the correct, non-removable bolts.

It was noted that the Golden State Championships is coming up in a couple of weeks.

New Business:

Officer nominations were discussed. Randy does not wish to continue as treasurer. Larry was nominated. Frank Martin agreed to run for secretary (in a back-room deal, the nominations have been switched, so Frank will run for treasurer and Larry remain secretary). Joel Chesler and Ray Ebert have been nominated to run for President. John Wright for Veep. Of course more nominations can be made next month when the election is held at the meeting.

It was decided to invite the Circle Burners to participate in our Holiday Party. Larry will contact the appropriate people to spread the word.

Pete Soule announced that there are a coupe of new websites he runs: microair.info/SCAR for racing and microair.info/SCS for speed.
