Larry RengerShowed a couple of the kits he designed, the Estes Bomarc and RSM Sky Sport. Also showed a pressure tap for a Cox front rotor engine.

John Wright2 Merco 61 cases. He has modified the intake for more power without greatly increasing the fuel consumption. Parts from an RJL flow through muffler and a K&B Sportster 20 muffler. He also showed 2 OS FP 40s, 1 FP 35 and a Torpedo 35 Series 75 for carrier use.

Al Wehrle – Described a trip through Texas where he had a chance to see the Stanzel (Dale Kirn) museum. He says it is well worth the trouble to find if you are in the Schulenberg area.

Coleman and Heydon - the thanks trophies.

Old Business:

Pete Soule stated that the contest sanction for the Mackey Meet is in hand. Eric Rule is the tentative CD. We need to do all 3 contest sanctions earlier next year

We need people to look at the model photos on the KOTRC website and help identify them and their owners. If you recognize something, let Pete know.

It was Dale Kirn’s 78th Birthday yesterday! (Now THAT's REALLY OLD Business!!) Carolyn brought autographed photos for all to treasure.

The report on the finances for the Knight’s Joust was delayed because Frank Martin could not attend the meeting. Warren did say that the food cleared $200.

New Business:

There is an article on Eric Rule and RSM in the latest Stunt News. It was written by Larry Renger. There will be a quiz next month .

There was some discussion about the design of the Brodak Baby Clown, and how different it is than the original PDQ kit. This may matter if the model is flown in either the Old Time or Leprechuan events. The new model has 3-1/2” more span than the original and the fuselage is about 1” shorter.

.This upcoming weekend is a speed and racing contest. All classes of speed for % of record. Mouse, Clown, FAI, Sport Goodyear and Texas 40 Rat in racing.

Warren brought up the fact that people at contests run off without helping to clean up and pack away at the end of the day. It always comes down to the same few volunteers. It was suggested that the CD announce at both the pilots’ meeting and trophy presentation that help is needed.

.Upcoming competitions:
Circle Burners Profile and Classic, 2 classes each August 10th
Goyet Meet in Woodland Aug 16th and 17th
Marschinkie Memorial Tucson September 27th and 28th
Hi Johnson at the Basin Oct 4th and 5th.
Golden State Championships, Clovis Oct 25th and 26th

There was a request for volunteers to do demos at the club meeting. The following offers were made:
Warren Walker : Panel line inking
John Wright : Gasket making
Larry Renger: Monokote deco techniques
Jed Kusik: Overview of the various racing events.
