No Steering Commiottee meeting this month - most folks at the VSC

General Meeting :: AFI Classroom 19:30 Hours:

Seven members and one guest in attendance.

Guest: Paul Wehrle of San Clemente.

Eric Rule suggested Paul come to the meeting: Paul is returning to controline modeling. He had built several planes in the past and inquired about joining our club. Glad to have you Paul!

We all signed a card brought by Mike Fox for ailing Cliff Silva. It will be taken to the VSC for other members to sign and then mailed.

Show and Tell:

Joel brought two Flying Models Magazines from July and October 1967.

Bob Werle shared a ½ A Goodyear profile ship and a Blackhawk Models Vulture He passed around a documentation book entitled "American Fighters over Europe"

Old Business:

Holiday Party: Joel inquired of me following up on my Holiday party recommendation. I did visit "Angelo’s and Vinci’s http://www.angelosandvincis.com/ for the purpose of arranging a party on Saturday December 6th but the spot has long been taken. The alternative for party times are: Saturday, November 29 which I had a hold placed but do not expect an approval because it is 2 days after Thanksgiving. Saturday, December 20 but, seems too close to Christmas day. Any Friday in December. At this point I would like to propose the 11 AM-3 PM Sunday Brunch at $9.95. All-You-Can-Eat including Champagne. A full bar is available. We can get a reservation for a group of 30-40 with an 18% gratuity and be in a room separate from the main dining area. Possibly on Sunday December 7. Joel, John Wright, and I will communicate and convene at Angelo’s and Vinci’s to check and agree on the particulars for

New Business:

Joel returned to the issue of our Whittier Narrows circles need for repaving.

Profile 40 rules need for this years Joust discussed. This event needs updating and approval for engine size etc. Current rules available from the Cholla Choppers noted.
