KOTRC Newsletter for February 2008

From The Circular Office:

I want to thank all those that were considerate enough to send condolence cards on the passing of my dear Mom, Ethel. They were very much appreciated.

You may recognize the above cover of Flying Models as the issue containing the article I distributed during the last meeting. Quite analytical for its time; 50 years ago.

Speaking of the last meeting, we certainly took some positive steps for the coming year:

  • Judges will be rewarded with two (2) free meal tickets + a lottery ticket
  • We will investigate other venues for the holiday banquet
  • We will attempt to streamline and modernize the club library
  • Score sheets for all our C/L events will be available to the event directors
  • These and other forward thinking activities should lead the way to a great season for the Knights.

Following these developments we were treated to an impressive demonstration of fuel tank manufacturing skills by our former President, Eric. He really made it look simple, but we all know it took many hours (and tanks) to be able to construct a uniflow tank so well. Tanks again, Eric, for the presentation (pun intended).

For the next meeting, I am attempting to arrange a unique presentation for those of you that will be attending. If not, we will see you all at VSC XX.

Your President, Joel
