Knights Of The Round Circle

The Knights of the Round Circle is an all around control line modeling club that supports all forms of control line model aviation. Our member's interests cover all of the control line modeling disciplines from combat, to speed, to racing, to carrier, to scale, and last but not least stunt.

The Knights of the Round Circle was founded in early 1987 and has a broad membership that includes members in California, Arizona, and Nevada.

The club holds monthly meetings and sponsors two major flying events yearly, The Bob Palmer Memorial and The Sir Dale Kirn's Memorial Knight's Joust, honoring those individuals that have made outstanding contributions to control line modeling.

Our membership ranges from young to old with skill levels from just beginning, to sport flyers, to National Champions. We also are fortunate to have several AMA Hall Of Fame members in our membership, Dale (Mr. Monoline) Kirn (deceased), Charles A. Mackey, Larry (Mr. Half-A) Renger , Bob Palmer (deceased), and Bill (Wild Bill) Netzeband (deceased). Additionally, members Eric Rule and Charles Mackey have been recognized by the AMA as AMA Fellows.

The club meetings are held on the second Tuesday of the month at Burnett Engraving. Everyone is welcome, you don't have to be a member, you just need an interest in control line modeling.

Meetings start at 7:00 P.M. Members and guests are encouraged to bring "Show and Tell" items. There are frequent demonstrations and "How-tos" covering such subjects as using iron on coverings, or ink lining.
